Sinclair Public Affair’s 2021 Wrap-Up

By February 2, 2022February 16th, 2023No Comments

Since the dawn of the new decade, the world has witnessed unimaginable change. From enduring an ongoing global pandemic, to requiring a new way of life, the modern 20’s have forced people and businesses to adapt- Sinclair Public Affairs included.

2021 provided a new direction for Sinclair Public Affairs, including an expanded client base that spans new industries, award winning campaigns, successful ballot initiatives, and broader in-house design capabilities. The year not only challenged us, but fostered growth and progress, allowing our firm to enter 2022 atop a strong foundation…

Here’s how we built it:

Website Revamp

Sinclair Public Affairs has undergone unprecedented growth since the start of 2020, and we wanted our website to reflect this progress in 2022. The new and improved Sinclair website now better reflects our award winning in-house design capabilities, allows visitors to easily familiarize themselves with our firm and staff through the ‘Our Team’ tab.

A New Direction

Traditionally a politically oriented public affairs firm, Sinclair Public Affairs has expanded into new industries, including the clean energy market, the healthcare and COVID-19 sectors, and added clients to our growing housing and development industry. Our firm’s expanded in-house design capabilities allowed for expansion industries outside our traditional wheelhouse.

Some of our new clients include:

An Award Winning Firm, yet again

At Sinclair, we always pride ourselves on the quality of our work. We added four new accolades to our collection in 2021, including three dotCOMM awards at the platinum and gold level, and one Pollie award at the silver level. The dotCOMM awards honor excellence in web creativity and digital communication, and the Pollie Awards recognize leaders, innovators and exceptional work within the political communications and public affairs industries.

New Team Members

In 2021, Sinclair added a new member to the Sinclair team! Kaitlin Coogan joined the Sinclair Public Affairs team as a digital media intern after graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill’s Hussman School of Journalism and Media, where she specialized in public relations and advertising. At the start of 2022, she accepted a full-time offer with the Sinclair Public Affairs team, and transitioned into a full-time account coordinator position.

As Account Coordinator, Kaitlin works alongside the digital and account services teams- supporting the team with a broad range of copywriting, graphic design and media relations efforts. Kaitlin is a talented addition to our team, and Sinclair is so excited to have her as a resource as we continue expanding into 2022!

Kaitlin excels in content creation and graphic design – check out some of her work!

2021 Independent Expenditure Work

In addition to our campaign and corporate clients, we work with trade associations and other organizations to launch independent expenditure campaigns during sessions and election cycles. We work alongside these organizations to ensure their voices are heard on a local and regional stage through a variety of traditional and digital media efforts. In the 2021 Municipal Elections, Sinclair helped lead five legislators to victory.

Sen. Lisa Stone Barnes

The Sinclair Public Affairs team is honored to enter 2022 alongside longtime client, NC Sen. Lisa Barnes of Nash and Johnston counties. Our firm has been lucky enough to aid Sen. Barnes in supporting her community and her state since her earliest days as a NC House Representative. Sinclair’s core mission is to ‘shape reliable outcomes, and to affect tangible change – and working with Sen. Barnes truly fulfills this mantra.

That’s a wrap!
