Sinclair is Grateful For…

Following this unique, socially distanced Thanksgiving holiday, the Sinclair team has reflected and shared the things we are particularly thankful for this year. As the world dawned a new decade, we have endured a global pandemic, unimaginable hardships, and an unprecedented presidential election- but despite this, Sinclair Public Affairs would like to acknowledge all the light that has come out of a particularly dark year.

Collectively, we are grateful for all of our wonderful clients- it is because of you that this small firm is able to elicit substantial, real world change. Thank you for partnering with us- we are so grateful.

Chris Sinclair- Founder and CEO

I could write a book, or two or three, on all the many things I am grateful for- but since I only have a few lines, here goes.

I am thankful for my family:  my children—Morgan, Lawson, and Preston— my loving fiancée, Maren Brisson, and her kids Reid and Dillon; my mom, sister and niece. They bring such joy and love to everyone they know, and I am so grateful they are part of my life.

I am grateful for the team at Sinclair:  Anna, Ure, Austin, Kailey, and Sarah. Collectively, their hard work, creative genius, and commitment to our clients, work and company make Sinclair what it is today. They are some of the brightest people I have had the pleasure to work with, and our company is lucky to have them as part of a talented team, making a difference for our clients.

I am grateful for all the wonderful clients who, everyday and collectively, are making a difference in our community, state, nation— and world. We are  blessed to be associated with such inspiring and delightful companies, individuals, organizations and businesses. Thank you all for that you do, and for choosing us to be part of your successes.

Lastly, I am grateful to all the many people today working the front lines during the pandemic.  Without you all, we would not be able to live our lives and go about our daily business, even though we’ve had to adjust our lives to ensure we get beyond the virus. A special shout out to our healthcare workers, providers, doctors and scientists who have worked tirelessly to eradicate COVID-19. The fact that we are on the verge of possible immunity (in a matter of months) with several vaccines that will help stomp out this nasty virus is nothing short of miraculous. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I sincerely wish you all enjoyed a happy Thanksgiving in this unprecedented year.

Anna Roberts- Strategic Partner

Even with the unexpected year 2020 has been across the board, I am grateful for the resilience of my family, coworkers and clients to keep moving forward in the face of so much uncertainty.

Ure Loop- Communications Director

This year I’m thankful for many things- the most glaring of which, being safe and healthy this year during the pandemic. I’m grateful our team was able to transition to remote work without a hitch so we could all focus on staying safe. My family, and the fact they are so close, is something I am continuously thankful for. I would also consider my black cat Otis family, so I am certainly thankful for him too. Amongst the smaller joys in life, I am eternally thankful for good coffee, vegan chicken nuggets and good books. This year has reminded me to be grateful for what I have- and to remember things could always be worse!

Austin Jayes- Account Director

I’m thankful for the health and well-being of my friends and family. I’m thankful to have a job during the pandemic, and to feeling like I’ve had my needs provided for in a completely uncertain time. I’m thankful for the people working nonstop to find a vaccine, and those taking care of the gravely ill, and I’m thankful and hopeful that we can return to a more normal life relatively soon.

Kailey McSwain- Account Manager

Although 2020 has brought unimaginable hardships and crises across the globe- I have been able to find thanks and gratitude amid this crazy year. I am grateful that, despite the pandemic, I was able to continue a family legacy and proudly graduate as a third generation Appalachian State University alumna in May. I am so thankful to have spent the last four years in the North Carolina mountains hiking, exploring and learning- and am so fortunate to have found a forever home in such a special place. With Sinclair, I am not only grateful, but lucky to work with such talented colleagues that have also become my friends- while producing meaningful work that I look forward to every day. Most importantly, I am grateful for the safety and health of my loved ones, and pray it continues into the new year.

Sarah Wallace- Intern

I am grateful that myself, family, and friends, have been healthy and safe throughout 2020. I am thankful for the opportunity that has been given to me by Sinclair. Since starting at Sinclair I have been welcomed into a family of co-workers and clients that work tirelessly to provide quality work for the greater good. Entering 2021 I hope to carry this gratitude with me and always be thankful for the little things in life- because you never know when life will change.

The Sinclair PA family hopes you enjoyed a happy Thanksgiving, and wishes you a happy, healthy, and safe Holiday Season.
